W. H. Gates Magazine Gun

William H. Gates was a not well known inventor who was active around late 19th to early 20th century and patented numerous contraptions from a new type of safety razor to firearms. This particular 3d model is based on his patent No. 840,309 "W. H. Gates magazine gun" in January first of 1907. This patent of his was for a simple 22 small bore rifle most likely for sporting and small game hunting his rifle also had some peculiar design choices according to his depictions on his patent paper like the lack of a metallic butt plate which is instead just apart of the wooden stock. Mister Williams rifle sadly most likely was never produced nor no prototypes are known to exist but there is a slight possibility for a prototype to exist as a prototype pistol "Unique Prototype H. Gates Pistol" of his design and patent was sold in an auction house.
