Rona19 submachine gun

A simple and silly idea for a post apocalyptical/improvised open bolt blowback operated full auto only submachine gun that I believe to be rather realistic and practical while looking rather unique. The Rona19 smg is constructed from easily obtainable parts like two pieces of plywood that are connected together by some metal plates and lined with metal strips to form its magazine well and the surfaces where the bolt will slide and barrel will be slotted. The plywood pieces also from the main furniture of the gun like its stock, grips and the compartment for the trigger system. The bolt and barrel are kept inside the gun with a thin pivoting metal shroud that can be opened by removing a bolt from the back to allow it to pivot open. I decided to not include a charging handle to the bolt so instead I vent with a pistol like serrations for cycling of the bolt, mainly for the idea that not having a charging handle would make the gun a lot simpler and decrease the chance for the bolt to hook on something that you don't want to hook onto. I also decided to add so funky flip up sight that are connected to one another by some wire so both of the sights can be flipped up at the same time. The guiding rod also functions as the ejector.

The firing mechanism of the smg is simple, simply pull the trigger that when pulled pulls down the sear that is holding the bolt back by its bolt face, releasing the bolt which then chambers a cartridge and fires it. The sear is tensioned by a small spring which additionally gives tension to the trigger.

Magazine type is just a simple sten gun 32 round magazine, same goes with the magazine release as it is also of a sten gun like type.

Chambering - 9x19 parabellum.

Cyclic rate - Low as bolt is held rather far back. This means that in theory the smg could have a low enough fire rate that you could easily fire it like a semi pistol caliber carabine.

The name was inspired by Mark serbus Covid19 smg as the covid pandemic gave me some inspiration for some funky post apocalyptic firearms like this and its name "Rona19" from corona and 19 from the cartridge 9x19 parabellum. I also just happened to stumble upon a Canadian home and gardening store named RONA which fits perfectly for a gun that is supposed to be built from stuff that you could find in a such a store so I decided to stick with the name.
